Diminishing
Museum exhibition concept, including museum layout, directional signage, and promotional pieces.
Assembled by hand, this clock is a depiction of research on Groundwater Overdraft as a part of my senior thesis.
Groundwater is the largest source of usable fresh water in the world. Arizona has grown reliant on sustained groundwater pumping, leading to overuse and diminishment of land, surface water, and water quality.
The topographic layers that cover the 12” x 12” base of the clock signify the changes in land while the minute hand represents the severity of the issue.
The reflective hour hand serves as a reminder that the residents of Arizona can be the solution to the issue.
